A bit about me
I'm Rachel Moore, the Architect behind Archaus.
I am an Architect with over 15 years experience in domestic, residential and commercial projects. I am a member of the RIAI (Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland) and hold an Architectural Professional Practice Diploma from UCD and a degree in Architecture from TU Dublin.
I have a passion for interior design and furniture, I am highly organised and I love solving problems.
I truly believe that an aesthetically pleasing and highly functional space (home or commercial) can fundamentally change how we feel, living and working within those spaces. My strength lies in being able to listen and fully understand (sometimes reading between the lines) what your brief is, and WHY aspects of your brief are so important to you and your design goals.
As a working mum, I am striving to create a work/ life balance where I can enjoy my family while also fulfilling my passion for great architecture and interior design. My two boys help me think creatively and see the world from a different perspective.

I set up Archaus in 2022, after working as an Associate and Project Architect with John Fleming Architects for 8 years. There I gained invaluable experience in large commercial and residential projects, from hotels, apartment schemes, interior design for student residences and schools, as well as delivering housing developments in Dublin and Kildare.
Before this I spent 3 years with Optimise Design where I oversaw numerous private home extensions and interior re-designs from sketch design to completion.
My expertise lies in the early project stages from design to planning applications. I have a particular interest in problem solving and finding the right solutions for the client and their homes.
Occasionally I will take a limited number of small projects to site as long as a follow on to previous services provided. I have also previously worked alongside clients and their chosen builder or architect on a client consultant basis.
Archaus was established to specialise in the design and planning stages of your architectural project. By combining architecture and interior design I provide holistic advice to create functional and grounded spaces that respect the original style of your home. I bring a contemporary look using both modern and classic (and retro) design aesthetics to achieve spaces with character.
My aim is to offer a unique solution to your project through a highly personal, budget friendly and flexible design service. Whether you are looking to add to your home, or to make the most of your current space. I will advise on how to reconfigure, extend or refurbish the space that you live in. From our very first meeting I try to understand your lifestyle, preferences and requirements to determine what layout, finishes and materials can be used to create your perfect home.
